Building Hope for over 25 Years
BOYS HOPE GIRLS HOPE PROVIDES STABILITY, SUPPORT, AND SCHOLARSHIP to bright and motivated children who come from challenging circumstances throughout Northeast Ohio. Despite the fact that our Scholars have faced some combination of economic poverty, severe family stress, neighborhood violence or other extraordinary circumstance, they maintain a courageous desire to make their goals a reality. Since our first doors of hope opened in 1989, Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeastern Ohio has been providing exceptional care and support each and every day to the children we serve by nurturing them and inspiring them to reach for their dreams.

Our Hope for the Future
Rajan Academy Center
The centerpiece of our $6 million dollar campaign is focused on constructing a state-of-the-art Academy Center. The Rajan Academy Center, which will be constructed as an addition to the recently acquired gymnasium adjacent to the northern border of our Campus of Hope, will bring our Academy Program under one roof and allow more than 200 Scholars to participate in an empowering home-like atmosphere fostering a sense of pride from middle school through high school.
Our architectural plans include an art room, science labs, college preparatory tutoring, study spaces, counseling areas and open spaces for Scholars to develop holistically each day and develop life-long relationships.
A renovation of the former Ss. Peter and Paul School gymnasium creates countless opportunities for our Scholars to access safe and healthy physical wellness activities. Renovations include the addition of a multipurpose fitness room, replacement of the existing roof, new heating/cooling handlers, cosmetic improvements to the bathroom facilities and several energy-efficiency updates.
Mall, Athletic Fields & Parking
The current campus green space and parking will dramatically expand and is being reimagined into beautiful, multi-functional spaces for Scholars and Families to gather and play. New campus driveways, gates and parking area will ensure additional capacity and a well-defined, cohesive campus feel.
Residential Homes
Scholars enrolled in our unique Residential Program literally call Boys Hope Girls Hope home while attending outstanding private middle- and high- schools throughout Cleveland and Akron. Beginning as early as 6th grade, Residential Scholars live in one of three homes on our campus in Garfield Heights that are staffed by a qualified and highly trained group of dedicated Residential Counselors. While our three homes are beautifully maintained, several deferred capital expenditures and quality of life renovations have become pressing needs. Improvements to these historic homes include electrical and mechanical updates, along with quality of living renovations to the Murphy Home (new roof) and Moock Home (mudroom).

“When you’re in a situation like I was and like a lot of the other kids are, it’s a cycle and you can’t break it unless you have people who support you and want to help.”
