A place for growth. The home of Hope.
SCHOLARS ENROLLED IN OUR RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM attend outstanding private middle- and high- schools whose missions reflect the same holistic values that BHGH was founded upon. Residential scholars live in one of three homes on our campus in Garfield Heights. The homes are staffed by a qualified and highly trained group of dedicated Residential Counselors who have answered the vocational call to live-in community with these young people.

We believe that the coupling of a nurturing home and excellent education is the formula for successfully developing consistent structure and routine-based conditions that are both empowering and nurturing to our scholars. During their 4-6 year placement in our residential program, we have seen our scholars realize and achieve their God-given potential time and time again. Many scholars have graduated from our program and gone on to attend college and ultimately become Men and Women for Others – making a true difference in the world around them as adults.
Currently, the residential program has a capacity to serve 18 young people (12 young men and 6 young women). Potential scholars are referred by one of our referral agents (teachers, principals, counselors, social workers, youth service providers, etc.) and are invited to visit the campus for an initial meeting. If children meet the profile criteria for admission, they are invited to apply to the program. In order to assure that this potential long-term placement is a good fit for both the child and the program, Boys Hope Girls Hope utilizes a comprehensive admission process that typically lasts 2-3 months.
